I have experience working in both conventional medicine as well as herbal medicine. I'm a Licensed Radiologic Technologist with 8 years of experience working in the X-ray, ER and Cardiac Cath/Electrophysiology/Neuro Labs at Mercy Hospital. Although I'm not currently working outside the home in the hospital, I do keep my license current which requires completion of 24 continuing education credits every 2 years.

I served in the United States Marines for 8 years alongside my husband, Mark. In 2005, our unit India Co, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marines, Buffalo, NY was activated and deployed to Iraq. I stayed back in Buffalo as an administrator for the Peacetime/Wartime Support Team. On August 26, 2005 Mark was critically injured by an IED. Shrapnel from the blast caused amputations of his right arm and right leg. After healing from 39 surgeries and going through extensive physical and occupational therapy, Mark is happy to be alive and well.

Currently I'm working from home as a mother of 2 young children and a Caregiver to my husband while running a small farm and Holistic Health practice. I'm taking an online program through Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine called the Herbal Immersion Program. It's a 2-1/2 year in-depth program where I'm learning many things such as botany, recipes and uses for common weeds; how to cultivate my own herbs; how to make Herbal teas, tinctures, and salves; as well as how to support our bodies with Herbal medicine and everything in between.

My passion for living holistically and teaching others the knowledge I've learned stems from my experience in helping my husband to heal from his incredible injuries, dealing with my own health complications, learning how to best care for my body to handle the transformation of becoming a Mother, and giving my children and our family the best chance of living a healthy life.
